Morsel Munk Events

(a.k.a. "Munkvents")

Connecticut and National Trails Day - Saturday, 6/1/13

Multiple activities from 8am - 3pm. Advance registration (via e-mail at info@morselmunk.com) is encouraged. Meet at Morsel Munk (70 South Main Street, Winsted; Route 44 at the Route 8 intersection) to pick up participant packets and goodie bags. Enjoy one or both of the events happening throughout the day to exercise mind and body, and stay young at heart.

Event 1) Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) - Newbie Clinic from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM: Get your feet wet paddling around the shores of scenic West Hill Pond in New Hartford. Sessions will run in “waves.” We will provide on-land instruction, then head out on the boards. Boards, paddles, life vests, and free instruction provided.

Event 2) “Puzzling” Walk from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM: Enjoy a tranquil traverse on the beautiful Sue Grossman Trail, and be ready to tax your mind with riddles and brainteasers along the way. Solve all the puzzles, and be eligible for young-at-heart prizes. Not up for a riddle? We just might throw in some physical challenges. Drop and give me 10! Every event you participate in earns you a ticket to our prize drawings.

 

Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) Clinics

The ice is off the lakes and ponds, which means it's time to SUP! We will schedule clinics throughout the Spring and Summer. Until then, contact us via e-mail at info@morselmunk.com to request a clinic. Alternately, you can call us at (860) 238-4466.

Take A Hike!

Let's hit the trails together before the bugs and humidity come in for the Summer. We have lots of great trail choices, from People's Forest trails to Bear Mountain, and numerous walking paths and rail-trails. Let us know your preferences, and we'll make it happen.
